Grampian Cycle Partnership join Transform Scotland

Published 28 October 2019 by Transform Scotland

We are delighted to announce the Grampian Cycle Partnership as new members of Transform Scotland. The partnership began in early 2019 and have already started working with local clubs, groups, associations, businesses and workplaces and individuals, the local authorities, government and national organisations to promote cycling across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Moray.

Tom Collier, the Chair of Grampian Cycle Partnership said:

“We have only recently been formally constituted, having been created by a core group who are passionate about cycling and the many benefits it brings, both to the individual and wider society.  We are forging links with many like-minded individuals, clubs, groups and associations locally, all showing the tremendous level of interest that exists for ‘all-things cycling’ across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray.  To help us continue to expand effectively, we are also keen to learn as much as we can from the contacts and evidence base provided by the established and knowledgeable members of Transform Scotland and look forward to playing our part in its continued success.”

Colin Howden, the Director of Transform Scotland, added:

“It is great to see a new and exciting group promoting cycling in the North-East. Transform Scotland is looking forward to working with and supporting the Grampian Cycle Partnership in promoting cycling in the North-East and ensuring cycling gets the investment it badly needs.”
