Transform Scotland Members’ Session, with Sustrans’ Alex QuayleDate: 28 March 2019 Location: Transform Scotland office, 5 Rose Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2PR Organised by: Transform Scotland
Our next Members’ Session will take place on Thursday 28 March from 15:30 to 17:00 at our office.
We will be joined by Alex Quayle, Senior Policy Officer at Sustrans Scotland, who will present Transform members with an update on the progress of the Transport Bill.
“The Transport Bill covers provisions to ban pavement parking, introduce low emission zones, regulate buses, introduce smart ticketing, and (after some late drama) Workplace Parking Levies. This session will cover what the pavement parking ban will mean in practice and how it will be implemented, and with limited detail regarding Low Emissions Zones written into the Bill, how much do we know about what zones will look like? Finally, what impact will Workplace Parking Levies have on the bill, and why all the fuss?”
Transform director Colin Howden will cover the bus services & smart ticketing aspects of the Bill.
The event is open to Transform Scotland’s Members and Supporters. It is of course free to attend, but please reserve your place by emailing Colin Howden.
