Edinburgh City’s Transformation Project aims to “prioritise access for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users” in the city centre. Glasgow City’s Connectivity Commission seeks to “get more people onto public transport, walking and cycling” in the city centre. Both see these transport measures as central to an improved public realm, creating a city centre more attractive for business and leisure.
Daisy Narayanan (Leader of the Edinburgh Transformation Project) and David Begg (Leader of the Glasgow Connectivity Commission project) will present talks on their respective projects. Edinburgh Council leader, Cllr Adam McVey, will be responding to the presentations.
The event takes place at Augustine United Church, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh on Wednesday 13 June. The event starts at 19:30 (doors open 18:45) and runs until 21:30.
