Levenmouth Rail Campaign ConferenceDate: 27 April 2018 Location: Fife Renewables Innovation Centre, Harbour Way, Methil, Fife, KY8 3RS Organised by: Levenmouth Rail Campaign
The Levenmouth Rail Campaign is holding a conference on 27 April.
This conference is for all elected members, rail professionals, business people and local supporters who want to see the reinstatement of the Leven rail link between Leven and Thornton, thus providing direct rail services to Edinburgh.
The aim of the conference is to:
- Update everyone on the current progress of the proposal
- Create an action plan to ensure that final approval for the reinstatement is given by the Transport Secretary
The programme will include speakers David Shirres, rail expert and advisor on rail matters to a number of governments; and David Parker, leading member of the Borders Rail campaign. Other speakers including those from Transport Scotland and Fife Council have been invited.
After the speakers there will be workshop sessions to generate ideas for a subsequent action plan.
The formal event will end at 13.00 but a buffet lunch will be supplied afterwards to encourage networking.
The conference takes place at Fife Renewables Innovation Centre, Harbour Way, Methil on 27 April between 11:00-14:00.
