New social enterprise ‘Transform Creative’ to provide specialist design services for the Third Sector.

Transform Scotland, the national alliance for sustainable transport, has today (Tuesday 3rd) released details of its new initiative, ‘Transform Creative’, a partnership of creative professionals specialising in design and campaign communications. The partnership has been brought together as a social enterprise offshoot of Transform Scotland, with all profits to be reinvested in Transform’s campaigns for a more sensible transport system. Ana Soldatenko, Transform Creative’s Head of Design, said:

“We’ve identified a need for high-quality yet affordable design and communications services for Scotland’s third sector. By launching Transform Creative, now people have the opportunity to improve how they look to the world while at the same time ensuring that any profits are retained within the social enterprise sector.

“I’m delighted to have brought together this brilliant team of experienced professionals in the field of graphic design, web design, illustration, photography, and digital communications as well as experts in campaigning and public affairs.”

“We’re based amongst a host of influential third sector organisations within Ethical Property Company’s Thorn House in central Edinburgh, and so on a daily basis we are in contact with a range of charities and social enterprises. And being a charity and a social enterprise ourselves, we know the challenges and constraints that these groups have to work within.”

Transform Creative’s team of partners includes:

* Colin Hattersley, award-winning photographer

* Peter Urwin, web designer with more than fifteen years’ experience

* Tom Holmes, Glasgow-based vector illustrator with over a decade of experience

* Stan Blackley, public relations consultant, most recently a veteran of the ‘Yes Scotland’ campaign.

Transform Scotland director Colin Howden said:

“We’re very pleased to launch Transform Creative as a social enterprise offshoot of Transform Scotland. As a social enterprise, all profits from Transform Creative will be reinvested in Transform Scotland’s charitable work campaigning for a more sensible, sustainable transport system.”
